Alternatively, you can use a remote address for the epub document. To work with this web application, simply drag & drop your epub file in the designated area in the app UI (top-right corner). This web app can be used on any machine that uses modern browsers such as Chrome, Firefox or Opera. We do NOT send or store your file(s) in any remote server everything runs locally on your machine (browser). This web app is not using any other third-party libraries or servers and, therefore, it is safe to use in terms of privacy and security. However, it also works in Firefox and Opera. According to our test, the performance is best when you use the chrome browser. This API is available for all modern browsers and has a relatively reliable and fast performance. ePub Reader uses a JavaScript project called epub.js. For a remote address, the app needs to fetch the document before compiling to it HTML5 therefore the server must allow remote access. You can use a local epub document or a remote address.
